About CESCaL's Supporting Students ~ Saving Lives

Five years ago Trish Hatch and her school counselor education colleagues had the idea. Create a national conference designed to empower school counselors and other educators to support LGBQIA youth. Trish made it happen through CESCaL.

Thank you for your amazing support for the past four years as we created the country's first conference for school counselors and other educators to support the needs of LBGTIQA students in K-12 schools. Since 2010, the CESCaL conference has provided hundreds of attendees with the knowledge, attitudes and skills they need to support LGBTQIA youth in schools. Research on our conference validates its impact as attendees have returned to their schools and utilized what they have learned to improve school experiences for LGBTQIA youth.

This year (2014), CESCaL is taking a well deserved year off. We look forward to returning in 2015 with exciting educational programs designed to continue our support for school counselors and other educational leaders affirming the needs of LBTIQA students in K-12 schools.

CESCAL's future offerings will be designed to include intensive educational sessions focused on evidence-based practices and cutting-edge research for all educators with a special focus on school counselors, administrators, teachers, nurses, school psychologists and school social workers.

Have a great 2014 and we'll see you in 2015!
